ravengirl suggested that I listen to Cajun and Zydeco music to lift up my spirits, and I created a Pandora channel and was listening to it while I did chores. She's right; I can't listen to it without grinning. Here's a link to one song that I like. (YouTube won't let me embed it.) Just One Kiss

I've also ordered a Buckwheat Zydeco CD.

It also made me think of Paul Simon's Graceland album because it has a Cajun-flavored song on it, but the whole album is uplifting, so I should listen to it too.

I should also check out bluegrass music.

Which reminds me, Brickell's album, "Volcano" is pretty and, if I recall correctly, uplifting. I wasn't a huge fan of her voice before that album and it was a fave CD for a really long time. And Jack White's recent "Blunderbuss" is very enjoyable, if you're into that sort of sound. White Stripes, too. (I promise, I won't keep suggesting "uplifting" music to you! I'm just on a roll tonight.)
