Not Over Yet

I got in touch with Lincoln to see where they were in the hiring process, and they said that they're finishing interviews this week and will be in touch next week. So I'll hang tight....

Funny how when you get into something, you see it everywhere. I've gotten into classic movies, and The Killers, Ava Gardner's first big starring role, is on Turner Classic Movies tomorrow night. I'll probably watch it. Also, I pulled out all the classic movies in my mom's collection and need to watch them too. My mom is going to give me some classic movie DVDs for my birthday next week.

Ooo, keep me updated on the titles-- I love classics. I MUST have seen The Killers on TV when I was growing up. It looks so familiar in some ways-- but I'm adding it to my list because it clearly isn't a strong memory! It was nominated for 4 Oscars, for heaven's sake; surely I've seen it. *snort*

The only down side is that the Ava Gardner book that I've been reading (which started this whole classic movie kick) had a BIG spoiler about the movie. I guess that they assumed that anyone who would read the book has already seen her movies, but I'm sure that I'll enjoy it anyway.

I think even IMDB somewhat spoils it, but yes, I think it will be worth it. Maybe instead of letting me know what you liked, we should watch the movies close together, like a long-distance movie buddy, and do mini-reviews at the same time to gauge who likes what! hee
