House?

My stomach is upset, so I stayed home. I haven't been able to sleep though, so I should get some work done.

I'm pondering ways to save money, so I'm wondering if I should buy a house in Lincoln. I definitely prefer living in Bloomington, but I'd save on gas, save on commute time, and my mortgage payments would be smaller than my rent. The only thing is that I don't know what the housing market is like in Lincoln; someone I used to work with bought a house in Jacksonville, found a new job out of state, and had problems selling her house. Well, I'm not going to do anything right now. I should watch the listings to see how fast houses are selling.

However, I really like this house although it's higher on my price range (believe it or not). This one is nice and cheap, but I wonder what's wrong with it.

I also thought about buying a mobile home in Bloomington, but I probably should stay away from that.

Both houses are really close to work. I could bike to work (assuming that I re-learn how to ride a bike!) or walk.

Holy @#!!#....... a house along the street from mine sold for 10 x that price......and its literally uninhabitable. They paid that much for the lot. The Bay Area house prices are back to being insane.

I thought that the Californians on my list would flip over the housing prices -;) There are some advantages to living in the boonies. I could pay cash for the cheaper one (though I'd probably go for a mortgage because I suspect that it needs a lot of work).

I'd wait and see if you're going to stay at this job. You're still relatively new.

Zara seems to know I'm not feeling well. She's being very subdued. I'm thinking about going to sleep soon and getting a good night's sleep.

One thing that I should do is start going to classes at Home Depot. I can't go to the one this Saturday because I'm taking the girls to the vet, but I can go to upcoming ones. I really would like to learn home improvement stuff. And the classes are free. I also bought a book called How Your House Works that describes how the various systems in a house work. I figured that it would be a good way to start my education.
