My Mom Is Here

My mom made it here, which, given that she had hip replacement surgery a couple of months ago, is impressive. We talked for hours tonight. (In fact, I got so involved in talking with her that I didn't eat dinner until now.) Harlee is taking my mom sleeping on "Harlee's" futon (most expensive cat bed ever!) with her usual bad grace. So...life is good. And I can sleep in!

And happy 4th of July to everyone! ravengirl, someone lit some firecrackers outside and the girls weren't phased by it. Hope that your two manage to cope well with the holiday.

Yes, we've had a lot of crackin' in the neighborhood for the past couple of days, once, right outside our windows. Tonight will be the worst, though, plus, it's always an opportunity for gang activity and gunfire, too. So far, so good, and I'm home for the night!
