When It Rains, It Pours

My mom is flying to England to visit Arthur (of "Art and Pete") because "she has a bad feeling about him". Well, that feeling is well-founded because he fell while carrying hot water, suffered second-degree burns, and landed in the hospital. While in the hospital, he fell three more times. They did a brain scan, and found that he's in the early stages of dementia. The doctors are recommending assisted living for Arthur, and my mom said that "she could feel his indignation from across the ocean!" She said that "there probably will be some fireworks while she's there". (I hope that she has a good trip anyway.)

And today, my Uncle Art fell and broke a bone in his arm. Because he uses a walker, he'll have a tough time getting around or being able to do anything. The only thing keeping him out of assisted living is my aunt.

The other librarian where I work is having problems with his dad, who has dementia. He wants his dad to go into assisted living, and he's been refusing to go.

Have I mentioned that I'm really glad that my mom is doing well??
