days_unfolding

Today was my birthday. I started it with a mover coming over for an estimate. (Actually, I overslept, and didn't hear the door, but he came back.) I liked him. He said that if I bought a washer and dryer, he could arrange for them to be hooked up, which would be a help. The only thing is that he wants to load one day and unload the next day. That begs the question of where I would sleep after they load, but I suppose that I could bring down the air mattress to the new place. I'd have to board the cats an extra day though. I'll see what the other mover says tomorrow.

And then I lay down "for a couple of hours," and slept for seven hours. I ate something, and lay down for "a half-hour," and slept for another 3.5 hours. It's actually not a bad way to spend a birthday, which says something about the life that I'm living :) And maybe it says something about how old I am.

I'm a little shaken because an old friend's mom passed away. The "old world" keeps vanishing. I know that's the way of the world, and it's necessary, but it's still emotionally loaded.

It sounds crazy, but I'm going to throw myself together and drop off a prescription at the 24-hour pharmacy. (I'm going to miss that pharmacy when I move.) I might grab the Kindle and wait for it because I need that prescription. Then I'll water plants and go back to sleep.
