I had attended part of a webinar about how to change your thinking to be successful. Part of it discussed "vision boards" (a visual representation of your goals and aspirations) and developing your "why" to be successful. So I did some work on Facebook developing my "whys," and will put up my vision board today.
Why #1: Harlee. Years ago, I worked myself into a nervous breakdown, and Harlee was the only reason that I got out of bed. Now that she's old (14), I want to give her the best care that money can buy. I also would like to adopt a dog to take on long walks and hikes.
Why #2: Education. I want to have the money and time to take any classes that might be helpful. (The webinar today was advertising a class that I would have liked to take, but I couldn't afford it.)
Why #3: Music lessons. I want to have the money and time to take music lessons again because they feed my soul.
Why #4: Freedom. Control over my time and place. I want to work my own hours and live wherever I want, instead of where I can find a job. I want to travel and see what it's like to live in different places. I also want to live for a while (or a long time) in Hawaii because I loved it so much when we visited I was a kid.
Why #5: A house. I want to own a small house with a yard and garden.
Why #6: Travel. I want to travel the world, and return to places that I liked (London, I'm looking at you) and see places that I've always wanted to see (especially going to Italy with my mom).
