Forgetfulness

days_unfoldingOh, I forgot to mention that I left my cane in Springfield when I was down there for a meeting. I was really bummed, until I did some research and found out that I can replace it. I really like that cane. And yesterday, I drove off to dinner with my tumbler of soda on top of my car. I couldn't find it when I got back. I bought some small, cheap tumblers at Dollar Tree for daily use, so if I do that again, at least the tumblers will be cheap. I need to get a larger, more expensive one to use for longer drives though. And I need someone to follow me around and remind me of things -;)
The meeting that I was at was sobering. All the state universities and state library have no budget and are in dire straits. There's a rumor that the state library will shut down until a budget is approved, but the Library Director didn't say that in the meeting. She did sound close to tears though. We're better off at my college, and I never thought that I'd say that!
