I'd like to try drinking coffee more (to wean myself off of diet soda, and this is the time of year for it). Any coffee recommendations for someone who isn't a big coffee fan?
I don't understand why you want to drink coffee if you don't like it. You could go with hot or iced teas. I grew up drinking Lipton and my adult choice of caffeinated tea is Luzianne. I generally drink these teas cold and have herbal teas and green teas either hot or cold.
I mostly want to drink coffee for the caffeine. I do drink hot tea (Earl Grey) sometimes and like it. I also like chai, although I think t hat it has a lot of calories.
Chai is great-- if you drink it as-is, especially. If you're adding sweeteners and milks (even almond milk, but esp cow's or soy milks) that will up the calories.
But Starbucks coffee is crap-- If you don't like coffee because all you've tasted is Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, and the like, you might want to order some Seattle's Best or La Colombe coffees. I'm not a coffee drinker, but when I have it, La Colombe is my choice.
