Thursday Night Fights

Zara is fed up with Mimi. Mimi growls whenever Zara goes near her, and has cornered Zara a few times . (That's when I step in.) Zara started smacking her, which (in my mind) Mimi deserved, but the fight escalated, and I broke it up. I tricked Mimi into going into the bedroom and shut the gate. I'm going to let her out, though, because she and Zara need to learn to get along. I feel sorry for Zara though. I told Mimi that everyone in this household is trying to accommodate her (which is true), but she needs to be nice. We'll see how this goes....

Have fun with that. I had 3 cats who despised each other from day 1 and still don't particularly like each other. It's gotten better over time, fortunately. They've learned to live with each other.

It's funny how that works. One of my kids went to live with my neighbor for a year or so. Before he left, all the siblings got along fine. When he came back suddenly, he was afraid of me and he bullied his sister. I cured the being afraid of me part and we became buddies again, but he still bullied his sister and all I could do was provide a place for her as a refuge. Damn katz...
