My Facebook is blowing up with #BlackLivesMatter and #BlueLivesMatter, with a few sane people calling for everyone to stop the violence. I'm largely staying off of Facebook. I think what's been going on is important, but I don't have a clue how to make things better.

So I've been working on my branding. First, I ran some errands this afternoon--gorgeous day--and then brought some branding worksheets to the local coffee shop. I wasn't clear in my previous post; I was trying to decide between selling makeup or selling products that support people in marketing online, but I decided to stick with makeup for now.

Specifically, I want to market to professional women and women over 40. So most of the marketing that I've done on Facebook has been useless, but I have some ideas on how to network with professional women. As for the marketing products, I'd have to join a group called MSLP, but they have a level in which you have access to their marketing information, without being able to sell the products, so I'll probably will do that and go from there.

I'm in the process of setting up my blog. I have a hosting site and a WordPress theme that I like. I need a logo and a headshot, but I might have to wait until next month to get those. I don't mind eating eggs and PastaRoni, but Zara needs a shot and the girls need food. I can work on content though. For what it's worth, here's the theme that I chose for my blog.

We have some flies flying around here, so I asked Mimi to do something useful and catch them. Well, Mimi doesn't cat very well. She'll keep looking around the room for the fly, but by the time that she realizes that it's there, the fly has flown away. Useless critter :) I need Zara, who has lightning-fast reflexes (I've seen her catch a moth out of mid-air), but she's bedded down for the night in my bedroom. (I keep her and Mimi apart at night so that there are no cat fights at 2 AM.) I have no idea how the flipping flies are getting in here.

Tomorrow, I'm planning to get up early (ha!) and drop some stuff off at Goodwill. I want to do a little hiking, but I'm going to stay local, so that I can still get some stuff done.
