I think the plane flying around the globe is kind of a cliché and is something I've seen (https://www.google.com/search?q=icon+plane+flying+around+globe&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjsxaa69r7OAhVP02MKHdddA3kQsAQIHQ&biw=1277&bih=929#imgrc=MkrdiYJQ9oWaFM%3A) on many travel sites. Plus, it suggests your business is primarily centered on airline travel/tickets. From your text describing the site, you are aiming for a highly personalized service for independent travelers. I'm not sure how you could incorporate this into a graphic for your logo. Perhaps an outline of an animal that doesn't run as part of a herd or pack? Good comments. I accepted the logo for now. However, my friend's daughter is a graphic designer, so maybe I can work with her later to come up with something more personalized. Maybe different elements of a trip going into a suitcase? Might be busy though.
