"Food, Glorious Food...."

I finally got my lazy butt out today to go grocery shopping. I've got to hand it to Aldi; they had most of what I needed for my Middle Eastern bean and rice dish, including basmati rice, except for some spices and herbs that I needed. I shopped at Aldi and WalMart, but then I needed to get home to call my mom. (We have a regular phone call on Saturday nights.) I still need to go to Kroger to get a couple more things. However, I was hungry after the phone call, so I glommed some french bread pizza, and will make the Middle Eastern dish tomorrow night. I might be able to do some prep tonight. I also want to make butternut squash soup and homemade bread.

My mom told me about the explosion in Manhattan. Don't even know what to say anymore. It is what it is, I guess. I hope that everyone isn't badly hurt.
