Step 1: Update LJ
Sep. 24th, 2016 04:01 pmI did go out and get milk last night (but now I'm out of cereal, meh). I poked around, tired, doing not much of anything, until I told myself that was silly, and went to sleep. Got up at the normal time that I get up during the week (11 AM), ate breakfast, and went back to sleep for a "short" nap. Woke up at 3. I could get on my case for wasting time, but in fact, now I feel well-rested and energetic.
And I have a lot of stuff to do. I could easily get overwhelmed, so I think that I should make a list and work on it methodically. Maybe I'll try the post-it note method. (Write the items on a series of post-it notes, and throw each one out when done, revealing the next task.) The Pomodoro technique would help too (work intensely for 25 minutes, and take a 5 minute break).
Weekends are too short!
Added: At least my flaky brain is working well today. I was thinking about Betty White (don't ask me why), and asked myself what was the name of the character she played on the Mary Tyler Moore show. Boom--Sue Ann Nivens. I looked it up on the Internet, and that was exactly right.
