Mom

My mom is in the hospital with pneumonia. I am falling apart. I just cancelled a class that I was going to take for work on Wednesday because I don't want to be anywhere where I have to shut off my phone.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Are you able to take some family time to go visit her?

I don't want to take family time unless I need to because we're a small staff at work, and we're heading to finals week. I'm completely taking it as it comes. This has knocked the wind out of me, though, and I might ask my boss if I can just work a half day tomorrow. My mom sounded awful.
