Transporting Cheese

Oh, I meant to ask, what would be the best way to transport cheese in the car? I'm buying my mom exotic cheeses as part of her Christmas present, but the drive over there is 7 hours without breaks, and I take breaks. I don't have a cooler and don't want to buy one. I do have a small plastic container that I could fill with ice. Any other ideas?

keep the cheese and ice in the trunk of the car. It tends to be cooler in that section.

I have a hatchback, so it won't stay as cool.
