Eastward, Ho!

It's official; my mom is staying in the Detroit area for Christmas. And I'm planning to go up there. I need to find my road atlas because I'd like to find a route that goes more or less due East across Illinois and Indiana, pick up I-75 south of Toledo, and then head North. That would allow me to miss the worst of the lake effect snow (which is what I spun out in three years ago). Chicago is supposed to get smacked with 8 to 12 inches of snow tomorrow.

Mom said that she'd help me out with the cost of the pet sitter/boarding, which is nice.

I didn't get out early this morning, but did get to the grocery store. Now I've been working on the kitchen. I go in an hour later tomorrow because we'll be open until midnight, so that will help.

Added: Got the route. I asked Mapquest for directions to Dayton, Ohio, and I can pick up I-75 there. Good deal.
