No Mud No Lotus

days_unfoldingIt rained today. Dark and gloomy. I'm amazed that we got moving. I got a bad case of dizziness and shakiness when I was getting together to go out. We went to IHOP for lunch. Stuffed ourselves. I felt a lot better after sitting for a while and eating something. We ran some errands and came back home.
Then I made shortbread cookies for my mom. My inner kvetch was complaining that they would be a lot of work and I didn't want to make them, but I persevered and wound up with cookies! They're pretty good. My mom gave me a bracelet that says, "No mud no lotus," which she quoted about the cookies, but I'm wondering if I'm both the mud AND the lotus.
We got a margherita pizza tonight that was delicious. Now I'm fighting a food coma.
I checked the weather, and it looks good for my drive tomorrow.
