I'd like to retire on an island once I finish globetrotting. I had my eye on St. Lucia, which I think is one of the prettiest islands, plus it's less expensive than some of the other islands, but it's a conservative culture. St. Martin/St. Maarten is much more cosmopolitan, but more expensive. Bequia is a place that I was interested in a while ago. It's hard to get to, but that isn't an issue because I doubt that I'll be going back to the States often. It has a "good" bookstore and a funky artist's town feel. Etc, etc. I think that I need to make a spreadsheet. Unless there's a cruise or cruises that stop on most of the islands, but I doubt it.

Need to put some stuff up for sale. I'm trying to think of it as lightening my load for globetrotting.

There is a kind of pricey cruise that stops at a lot of the places that I'm interested in, but not all of them. It's a luxury cruise line. Might still be worth it though.
