Never Try to Outstubborn a Cat

Mimi likes to lie (and walk around) on my chest. I bet that was cute when she was a kitten, but now she's at least 13 pounds, so ow. I was lying in bed last night, reading, and she kept on trying to get onto my chest, and I kept on blocking her. I was encouraging her to lie on my legs or lap, but no dice. Eventually she settled down next to me, which was okay.
Then I turned out the light. Usually she goes on top of the dresser when I do that, and she did for a minute. But then she came back down. And lay down on my legs. Cats!
I had fillings put in this morning, and ran errands. I stopped by the vet, and they said that they can give Mimi and Zara their shots while they are boarding there, which will save me a trip.
