Where, Oh Where, Did My Dress Pants Go?

I took a break from the kitchen to see if I could find my pants suit. I found the jacket, but have no idea where the dress pants went. However, I found my skirt suit, which should fit me now, so if I wind up with an onsite interview at Heartland, I'm covered. It's a very nice suit: black with tiny gold (or beige?) threads in it. It's subtle, not gaudy. I like suits that are business-like, but still a little bit different. Saving clothes that no longer fit me is paying off. If I can get to a size 14, I have lots and lots of nice clothes, which I bought at Macy's and Nordstrom's back when I had money :)

Anyone have any ideas where I could store my purse and messenger bag when I'm at home? I've never really found a good spot for them. Maybe if I could get a cheap shoe rack to put by the back door, that might work.
