It seemed almost eerily accurate to me too, especially the list of positive/negative/must cultivate/must avoid traits. Spot on.
I didn't realize that they listed some of the totems on the site. Here's the ones that they had listed:
Snake
Power
In just about every culture, you will read myth and legend about snake or serpent. They all vary by location, type of snake, and what it means. However, the one element that remains true in all the stories is power. The snake is a very powerful animal. He can make grown men run, and children cry just by his presence. He can climb trees, but has no legs. He can eat small animals, but doesn't have to chew. He can fertilze the soil for rich garden production. If you are near, he can also cause a slow painful death, or a quick merciful one. When wrapped around the Tree of Knowledge, he represents satan;the Tree of Life, Christ. Those with Snake Medicine are very pwerful people with many innate abilities. The responsibility of how to use that power and authority belong souly to them. Power itself is neither "good" nor "bad", it is what we make of it that it becomes. This is the Medicine of Snake. Wise and thoughtful use of Power.
Frog
Empathy
Frog as long been associated with water and fertility. Frogs have a keen sense of hearing that is unique to their species. They can hear octaves and pitch that other aquatic animals do not. The song of Frog often fortells of an immenint rain. Those with Frog Medicine are often "in tune" with the weather. They are often "charged" by a rain instead of made sleepy. Frog people tend to relate to others on an emotional level, and are great empaths. The ability to purge and cleanse negativity resides within a Frog person. Male or female, Frog People make good parents. The nurturing capacity mingled with the strong force of leadership found in Frog Medicine makes the a desired Totem for single parents.
The rest weren't listed.
BTW, I lurk your journal occasionally and enjoy it-;)

Take care Adrienne...
May Your blessings truly overwhelm Your Soul.

Harmony
Harmony, balance, strength, meditation, introspection, healing, dreams, visions, wisdom, and listening. This is the Medicine of Bear. Bear is very strong. If you are feeling weak, or need and impressive, authoritative presence, call upon the power of Bear to aid you. Bear teaches us that healing begins with ourselves. Bears spend a good portion of each year in hibernation. This gives their bodies time to heal. In some species, the kidneys shut down. This gives the bear time to heal and waste no precious reserves. Bear reminds us to take time out for ourselves. If we do not meditate, how can we rightfully tell others to do so? If Bear has lumbered into your life, it is certain that you have the gift of insight, healing, and dreams. If you are having a difficult time accessing these gifts, it could be that you have forgotten to take time for yourself. The example of Bear is simple-heal yourself first. By your example, others can learn to heal themselves also.
