The money that I transferred was posted to my account. Awesome sauce. I'll rent the Rug Doctor tomorrow.

 

Mimi has been harassing Zara when Zara's in the litter box. I'm really annoyed about this. I corral Mimi when I'm there, but I wonder what happens when I'm not here.  

 

I've been feeding Zara and Mimi Harlee's left-over food. The tuna is a big hit with them, but I think that Zara doesn't like salmon. Maybe I'll try and see if Mimi will eat it. I have enough cat food caps to have two open cans of food.

Today is my collapse day. I have some chores to take care of, but want an easy day today.

 

Took a nice nap. Made pancakes for lunch.

 

Changed the light bulb in the kitchen (which burnt out annoyingly fast; the package says "one year bulb"). Folded the stuff piled on top of the dryer. Did laundry. I want to wash the cover for the futon, but Zara's camped out there, so I'll wait until after I drop them off at the vet on Monday. Finished hand scrubbing the carpet and vacuumed. (Poor Zara hid.) The light bulb in the kitchen went out again, so the ceiling fan is shaking the bulbs loose. I put the fan on low. 

 

Now I need to sit still for a while, so I'm going to write my packing list. Drafted lists. Folded laundry. 

 

Ate dinner. My plan of record is to fill little bottles with shampoo, etc., and tackle the pile of paper on the kitchen table. Oh, and write up the instructions for boarding the cats.

How many cat litter boxes do you have? For two cats, it should be at least two, but sometimes one cat cannot stand another cat's smell so they need their very own box, if possible. I wonder if Zara needs her own box.
Some cats like to pee in one box and defecate in the other. Some cats just need their own litter pan.
Just rambling cat stuff I hope could help! You know how I am. lol

There's a whole saga going on. When Harlee wasn't feeling well (although I didn't know that she wasn't feeling well at first), she decided to camp out in the bedroom, displacing Mimi. Mimi decided that she wanted to stay in the kitchen, displacing Zara. Zara wound up in the living room, which had been Harlee's spot. Mimi is very territorial, and doesn't want Zara to be in the kitchen. The kitchen litter box is the closest to where Zara is hanging out as well as closest to Mimi. There are litter boxes in the bedroom and bathroom as well as the kitchen. (There also is one in the other bedroom, but I've been keeping it closed off for the time being.) Today, Zara has been hanging out in the bathroom and apparently using the litter box. There isn't a good spot for a litter box in the living room. I'm going to wait until they get back from being boarded at the vet to figure out the best solution because boarding at the vet might shake things up too.

I'm going to visit my mom in the Detroit suburbs. Taking the train and a pile of books. I can't wait :)
