Mom's Visit Day 2

Woke up at 9:30 AM. Hung out for a while, but thought that I might wake Mom up if I made breakfast, so I went back to bed.

 

Woke up again at 1 PM. Mom was up and had just taken a shower. Zara was still asleep on the bed. I ate breakfast and drank coffee with Mimi on my lap. Zara finally got up, and I fed the girls.

 

I threw in a load of laundry. Canceled my Spanish lesson because I haven't had a chance to study. However, I worked on Spanish flashcards while my laundry was drying.

 

Mom said that the hot water ran out while she was showering. Well, it was still out when I took a shower, and it was ice cold. Now I'm thawing. I might need to ask the landlord to have it fixed.

 

Mom wanted to go to the thrift store before we ate. I was more dubious about going, but I said okay. I wound up getting a ton of stuff: a couple of blazers, two sweaters, a set of gym clothes, a windbreaker, a sweatshirt...and I'm probably forgetting something. I need to get rid of some clothes to make room for the new stuff.

 

Then we went to eat at a Chinese restaurant and stuffed ourselves. Then we went home and talked for a while. I'm planning to get new tires tomorrow, so I don't want to stay up too late.
