It Was a Dark and Rainy Day

I was too tired last night to do anything. I even thought about sleeping in my clothes, but managed to get my pajamas on.

 

Woke up a little after 6 AM. Decided to get up and eat breakfast, and then go back to sleep for a while.

 

Woke up at 11:30. Mimi and Zara were still dozing, although Mimi got up to sit on my lap. It's a rainy, dark day. Can't complain though. Chicago is getting SNOW!

 

Had a bite to eat. Zara wanted my banana bread, and I gave her a little, and she ate it. Weird cat.

 

Headache. I'm wondering if allergies are causing the headaches? I get them during the spring and summer. I thought that it was humidity. Maybe I should try an OTC allergy med and see if it helps. Anyway, I'm going to lie down for a while.

 

Overslept my nap. The rain has stopped, but the forecasters are predicting rain later. I'm going to unpack for an hour and then jump in the shower with an eye towards going to Walmart.

 

Another synagogue shooting. Damn it. I don't even know what to say except that it needs to stop.

 

Zara provided the comic relief by putting her little paws on my butt when I was adding something to my shopping list. 

 

Back from the store with the all-important cat food. Crisis averted :)

 

Watched the news for a little while, but it devolved into dueling commentators, so I shut it off. Mimi likes me watching television because she can sit on my lap.

 

Emptied most of a box.

 

Instacart is now in Lincoln. Maybe I could make a little extra money delivering groceries, although I don't think that Lincoln will be a great market for it.

 

Talked to Mom. She's doing well. She expressed an interest in going to Portland, and I'd be up for that if I could check out Eugene and maybe Salem also. 

 

Fed the girls. I was thinking about going to bed early, but I really would like to set up the printer and pay some bills online. I'm hungry though.
