I'm kind of groggy this morning. I'm dropping things and having problems reading. I also inhaled (literally) some soda.

Zara was being cute this morning. She was rolling around on the bed, showing me her belly. Then she left for a while. Then she jumped on the bed and bounded over to where I was lying down. Hi Zara.

Sigh. I'm lying down for a nap, and Zara says, "Time for zoomies!" Now she's settled down, thank goodness.

I read a blog post on using audiobooks to learn a language, so I wishlisted Breve Storia D'Italia (Short History of Italy). Hmm, I wonder if looking for Italian audiobooks on Italian Amazon counts as studying Italian.

Yikes. I changed my Amazon screen to Italian, and it took a while to change it back. I guess that's one way to learn Italian fast!

Napped with Zara. Got laundry in the washer, but am waiting 15 minutes for the Oxyclean on my t-shirt to work (done).

Created Italian flashcards for the names of vegetables. I mucked around with a document in Canva until I found a background and text boxes that I like.

Walked on the treadmill. Now Zara is on it warily, wondering how I make it move.

Started cleaning out the refrigerator. Soaked dishes. I want to clean out some plastic containers to use for carrot soup (and carrots if I cut them up tonight and make the soup tomorrow).

Talked to Mom. My aunt is still in the nursing home, and she is having stomach pains with no way to get to her doctor to have them checked out. The nursing home also wants to send her home, but she doesn't have anyone to stay with her, and she doesn't think that she can take care of the house by herself. Mom is doing projects at home with the thought that she might have to go to Chicago. I told her about the stuff that I'm doing to save money and the stuff that I'm cooking, and she said that my life sounded good.

I decided to make Cherry-Almond-Quinoa salad tonight so that I can have it for lunch tomorrow. The only thing is that I hadn't thawed frozen peas, so I thawed them with the microwave, and I'll be damned, it worked. Now I'm using Dawn Powerwash to see if I can get some scorch marks off a pot that I want to use for the quinoa. The Powerwash only kind of worked. I made quinoa in it anyway. Now the quinoa is cooling.

My plan is to make the quinoa salad, study Italian, and have a small bite to eat. Oh, and watch a little Italian TV. And then read a little and go to sleep.

I tackled the German pronunciation course. It's hard and assumes that you know some German. But I'm learning from it although I know almost nothing. I also printed off the lesson from last time and the chat. And I reviewed the Web page with pronunciation rules. I'm game for the lesson.

I finally found a name for my Etsy printables shop that hasn't been taken. I need to create stock for it first though, which is why I'm messing with Canva. The Udemy course is good though.

I stayed up 25 hours (except for a brief nap at lunch) to watch the ice dancing. I would only do that for ice dancing because I love it so much. Shaun White was in the audience, and some skaters asked for pictures with him. The top people were impossibly good. Now I'm going to collapse in a heap after feeding the cats.

Slept for three hours. Got up, fed the cats their lunchtime snack and did other cat chores. Ate. Now I'm going to lie down for two more hours and call it good. I'm probably going to hate myself tomorrow, but I can nap after Italian.

Poor Mimi stayed up with me and is exhausted. Zara, on the other hand, slept and is manic.

Slept for three hours. I've decided to go to the store tomorrow because the snow is supposed to be minor and it's freezing out now (wind chill of 6 F).

I can't find the charger for my Fitbit anywhere. I've pretty well torn my bedroom apart.

Talked to Mom. We were discussing the protest on the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and Windsor, which is near her. She said that she asked her friend Kate, who lives on Vancouver Island, what the heck is going on with the Canadians. We also discussed politics in general and food. Mom is going to see her oncologist on Tuesday and will let me know what he says.

German went well. My teacher is challenging but keeps me learning. Pronunciation is still hard. And I'm learning to conjugate regular present tense.

Now I'm going to have soup and crash.

Holy cow, my item on eBay sold. I need to run out on Monday and mail it. Only $25, but that will pay for a book on Berlin. Or a German lesson.

It's pouring out. I need to go to the grocery store and the post office to pick up a mailing box, but I'm a wimp, so I'll go tomorrow.

The earliest that I'll hear from iCAN is on February 15th, and it could be up to May. I hope it won't take that long.

The cats crack me up. I worked a little late and saw them running back and forth in front of my office door to see if I was getting up yet to feed them. Clearly my priorities are wrong!

I studied German and Italian flashcards. I need to start putting the stars on my calendar again.

Tonight is my usual night for the Wondrium photography classes, but I'm putting them on hiatus during the Olympics because I'm watching a ton of television. Maybe I'll work with Canva instead. I'd like to become an expert in it, and create and sell templates.

Score! I previously found an Udemy class on German pronunciation, but it was too expensive. I was looking at Canva classes tonight and checked the German course, and it was on sale! Bought it! I also bought the Canva course too.

I was looking at Udemy to get ideas for courses to create. Ideas: Writing on Medium (once I have some success at it), Saving Money on Travel, and Creating a Budget. I'd like to write about software too because that's what I'm trained to do.

I just spent a bunch of time looking up librarians on Medium and following them.

Zara has decided that the box that I have almost emptied is HER box. I'll never get the last stuff out of there. I rescued some old posters that I don't know what to do with but are too cool to get rid of. (They are drawings of Paris.)

The short program (rhythm dance) for the ice dancing is at 5 AM. Ugh. I don't think that I can stay up that late because I got up at 8 AM today. But it's even less likely that I'll get up that early. And I need to go to the grocery store tomorrow because it's going to snow on Sunday (only one to three inches though).

Okay, I'm going to go play with Canva. Maybe I'll see if I can stay up until 5 AM and crash if I fade out. I have plenty of stuff to do. And I need to practice German for my lesson tomorrow at midnight. So now I can't stop yawning....
