Saturday: I was really tired last night. The lights are on a timer and were still on when I went to sleep, but I conked right out.

I bought a rapid cell phone charger and had it shipped to my aunt's house. Apparently, the charger that I had been using was bad because the phone charged right up with the new charger. Yay.

Mom is moving like an old lady again. This trip has taken it out of her. She just asked me if I have some Tylenol, which I do.

Leaving her here was the right thing to do. Her digestion has settled down. I hope that she's okay for the trip back.

Partially loaded the car. I'm wondering how we'll get the laptop bag in there, but we'll work it out somehow.

Mom wants the place completely clean before we leave. My mom and I leaving a place is like herding cats, but we got on the road around noon. It was a good drive, and I even enjoyed some of it. Mom was okay during the drive. We made good time, although we had some long stops. We rolled in at my mom's house around 8:30 PM I think.

Mom got me hooked on Cool Ranch Doritos.

Sunday: It's good to see my mom puttering around the house. She said that she's glad to be home.

I woke up earlier than I intended and took a nap after breakfast. We ordered Arby's via DoorDash for lunch, and Arby's left the turnovers out of the order. Oh well. Mom had some orange-vanilla ice cream that we had instead.

Our faith in humanity has been restored. The air mattress that I thought that we didn't receive was by the back back door of the breezeway. I didn't think to look there earlier in the week because my brain was fried. Mom said that I should keep it.

I set off a little late in the afternoon. However, the highway that I take out of the area was completely blocked due to construction. I wandered around for a while and then took city streets to the main highway across Michigan. Then I hit stop-and-go traffic due to an accident. I was getting sleepy at that point, so I slept for an hour in a rest stop. I slept so deeply that I wasn't sure where I was when I woke up. Now I've stopped for the night at a hotel on the Michigan-Indiana border. I'm really tired.

I'm really bummed about Carrie Fisher dying. I got a late start yesterday partially because I was watching the news. Rest in peace.

I also ran late because I did a makeover on my mom. I discovered that it's a lot harder to put makeup on someone else. I need to practice.

Finally, I left. Someone cut me off in Toledo, but I managed to slam on the brakes. I slammed them so hard that my suitcase flipped over. Then I missed a turnoff in Indianapolis. I wound up taking I-70 SW into Illinois, which got me about an hour south of the correct route. Then I picked up a route north that got me to the right route. I wound up rolling in about 3 AM.

Mimi, not surprisingly, hasn't been letting me out of her sight, and was on my lap last night when I was trying to eat. I expected Harlee to chew me out, but she was dubious about me at first, but then warmed up and was marking me like crazy. I just picked up Zara, so the gang's all here. Zara seems happy to be home, but isn't happy that I'm leaving her in the bedroom for now while she and Mimi get reacquainted.

I think that I'm going to spend a quiet day at home, mostly catching up on my classes. If I get ambitious, I'll work on organizing the bedroom and cleaning the bathroom. I need to get milk, so I might run out later.

Added: I'd really like to move closer to my mom, but can't do that now. I need to pare down my stuff and save up money for a move. I've always wanted to live in Ohio, which is closer to my mom, so I need to keep my eyes open.
