Apartment?

I found some apartments in Champaign that would do. I'd rather rent a house, but they are getting out of my price range. I'd probably be too broke to join the U of I gym at first, but one is near a Planet Fitness and a pool that is open during the summer. I can get into Planet Fitness using my Well on Target card. And it's also near a shopping center! And the shopping center has an Italian restaurant! The other has a small fitness center. Both have pools also, but they aren't lap pools.

I found a article about the annual "Fat Ass 5 K" run in Springfield. People run, but they stop for beer and hot dogs. Some people wear costumes. If I ever learn to run, I'd love to do it, but I don't need to take on running now. I have too much on my plate! I'd also love to run Bay to Breakers, another run where people dress up (or not at all!)

Tried to nap, but my brain was whirring about Champaign. Finally got up and had lunch at dinnertime because I got up really late today. I don't have time to go to the storage place, but I have plenty that I can do around here.

Got myself together and went grocery shopping. Along with food, I got a dill plant, a big fat basil plant because they were out of the little ones, and a cherry tomato plant. They're in the bathroom for the night because I'm not sure how cold it's going to get. And bah! I forgot to get pesto at Aldi, and I should have gotten soil at Walmart. Now I'm sitting a little.

I want to change my auto insurance. I went through pages of forms to get a quote, only to find that I only got a quote from Liberty Mutual, and Farmers wasn't working. So I'll have to do it again tomorrow to get a quote from Farmers. Bah.

I just realized that I never ate dinner! I should do that!

Still kind of have a chest cold. I'm getting impatient to get rid of this cold.

I'm wondering if I can walk/run with this cold. I won't have time until tomorrow though.

Got us all fed. Zara cracks me up because she has to take a hunk of food and drop it on the floor before eating it.

Nap time. Had a nice nap. I'm throwing myself together to run errands, but Zara has fallen asleep on my lap. Aww.

Got new keys made. Picked up Zara's meds. Went to put money on my Walmart debit card, only to find that I had the old one that isn't active. I'm been looking for the new one, but haven't found it thus far.

Cleaned up the stuff that Zara has knocked off of the table. I'm trying to decide whether to go to sleep now and get up early to clean (which usually doesn't go well) or stay up and clean. It's only 10:00 PM right now, but it feels later.

Well, staring at my phone isn't helping me get anything done.

Talked to Mom briefly. I was worried because she was out really late (for her), but she was at a memorial service.

I kind of like my salt-and-pepper hair roots, but I'm still going to dye them this weekend because I want to look younger while I'm working. Plenty of time to go gray after I retire.

Note to self: Multiple places offer Tai Chi in Prescott. Yavapai College has some decent Community Education classes. There's a guitar instructor in town (who also does voice).

I found a pair of inexpensive wide-width sneakers at Walmart.com. People did say they were kind of cheaply made, but if I wear them only to the gym, it doesn't matter. I might wait until next month to get them though. Actually, I found another pair of sneakers that I have that fit. I'm good.

It's not raining yet, but it's supposed to start right around the time that I'd be ready to run. Oh well.

I might wind up regretting this, but I bought a refurbished Garmin Vivosport from Amazon. Need to get serious about getting moving and get my cholesterol down. I did get a warranty on it because I have lousy luck with fitness trackers.

I'm thinking that my ultimate goal is a "sprint" triathon, but I have a long, long way to go to get there.

A friend on Facebook posted the infamous WKRP Turkey Drop, so I watched it again. Twice. Enjoy.

I did my Week 1 Day 1 walk/run. Far out! It wasn't so bad. The Runkeeper app worked well. The shoes were comfortable too. And it didn't rain. Hey, now I'm a runner!

I ran out to get soda at Dollar Tree. While I was out, I realized that I was starving, so I went to Culver's and had a mushroom-and-swiss burger. Then I got gas.

Fed the girls. Now my plan is to set up and submit my shopping list for pickup at Walmart tomorrow. Then I think that I'll watch an episode of The Crown and go to bed.

Here comes the rain....
