Piano Lesson
Mar. 23rd, 2021 10:57 pmMonday night, I didn't practice, but watched a bunch of YouTube videos on how to form guitar chords without pressing on the wrong strings, so that kind of counts? I should keep the guitar in the office with me to practice when I need a break.
The Guardian had an article on Tori Amos, whom I used to listen to. She's a singer-songwriter who plays piano. I'm eyeing some of her sheet music in Amazon. I also pulled out some of her CDs that I have.
Finally remembered to call the vet about Zara's prescription food, and they've received it. I need to stop by there sometime this week and pick it up.
Sheesh, I'm getting old. I went into the bedroom looking for something, but I couldn't remember what, so I left. Later, I remembered that I was looking for reading glasses because the cooking time on my frozen dinner was too small to read. Sigh.
Got my new web cam set up. Had my piano lesson. The teacher was late, and I was just emailing her when she showed up on Zoom. We worked through the chords on the Bonnie Raitt song. She said that I have a really good knowledge of the keyboard. Now I just need to practice.
Speaking of practice, I'm going to work on voice and guitar and get to bed EARLY.
I did something kind of crazy. I got the concert style Alvarez because I wanted to see if a concert-style guitar (which is smaller) works better for me. But then I saw a concert-style Yamaha with a spruce top, which is my dream acoustic guitar, so I bought it. And I love, love it. We're bonding :) it has a big sound for a little guitar. And I landed a clean G chord on it. I'll sell the Alvarez.
Time to dream sweet dreams of music...
