Hot date with Morpheus

Silicon Valley vignette: At 1 AM at the vending machine, looking for food to take home because I had no food in the house and the 24-hour grocery store was a long drive away. I wound up with a peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich. Hmm, nutritious.

I'm glad last week is over. It involved working extreme late hours (usually between 2 and 5 AM) along with fighting the cold that is going around. That's an interesting ethics problem: if I had stayed home sick, I would've missed my deadlines (which ultimately would impact the group), but coming in, I spread around the cold. I couldn't work at home exclusively because I needed to talk to people. I wound up coming in.

I have some things to do for work this weekend, but otherwise, this weekend is all about sleep. And trying to get my cats to get along.

I have vacation time and holidays this year. I plan to take it after Project # 2 ships (around the end of September). At least all this craziness is temporary....
