The bipolar group was much more enjoyable this time than last time. The guy who seemed really grumpy (to say the least) last time was in a good mood. Several people in the group were really funny. The therapist thought that I was a long-term bipolar patient because I was really stable and because of my knowledge about the disorder. (Hey, when I do something, I do it right-;)) And a new guy in the group turned out to be a tech writer also, at Cisco. He and I swapped stories afterwards, and he gave me his business card and said that he'd tell me if there's any openings at Cisco. That was really nice.

On the down side, apparently lithium and ibuprofen don't work well together. Unfortunately my doctor's message was cut off, so I don't know what he recommends that I do.

I need to limit my LJ time for a while. I've got a lot of stuff that I'm trying to get done at the same time:

  • Job search
  • Studying tech stuff (mainly UNIX/LINUX, plus the ubiquitous Java that I've been studying on and off for years now) to enhance my marketability
  • Finish wrapping and mailing my Christmas presents and send off some Christmas cards (no big deal, but it's still not done, and I'm shipping to the Midwest)
  • Dejunking my place because this will be the best chance I'll ever have to focus on it (hopefully)

I'll probably log on to LJ for one session during the evening, just as I would if I was working.
