I'm here

Had one moment of triumph today when I finally resolved the issue with my mom's present being in limbo. The problem was that Barnes and Noble said that they had a book in stock that they didn't have in stock. The annoying part is that they didn't seem to understand why I was concerned, and kept saying that they would get it "soon" . Anyway, I called long-distance to a bookstore that I thought might have it, and sure enough, they did and are shipping it to me. I think that it's still early enough that I can turn it around by Christmas (might need to send it Priority or Overnight). It's either a good thing or a bad thing that my cam's off because I did a little victory dance....

Otherwise, I've wrapped and packaged all the presents that I have in hand, have posted my resume to one job board, and am working on cover letters for various jobs. The one bummer is that the job that interested me the most dropped off the job board. Oh well.

I'm fried

Job search stuff is frying my brain. I've already applied more places than I have at any one time in my career. In one moment of luck when I was researching a listing on a recruiter's site, I found another listing for a lead writer that's a really good match. However, I'm concerned that most of the jobs are for writers with much less experience than I have. I hope this doesn't mean that we'll get into a battle over my salary. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

I'm glad that I'll be out of the house tomorrow getting my lithium blood test. That might be a sad commentary.

Oh, I never said what happened about the lithium and ibuprofen problem. A nurse called me back to discuss the problem with me. Ibuprofen can increase the level of lithium, increasing the risk of toxicity. She suggested that I call the GP back and ask for something else that wouldn't interact with the lithium. (However, she also said that most painkillers and anti-inflammatories would.) I told her that I'd be taking it only as needed, and she said that would be okay if it wasn't too often. However, if I get to the point when I'd have to take painkillers regularly, I might have to switch from lithium to something else.

Everything is complicated, no?

Things happen; I just forget to write about them

I guess the Wellbutrin is having a strong impact because I've lost 10 pounds in as many days. That concerns me because that's losing weight way too fast, but I am eating. (Though part of me also hopes that I'll continue to lose weight that fast even if it is unhealthy.)
