Musical interlude

I was in the grocery store, when I heard a song on the grocery store broadcast:

...You gotta be bad; you gotta be bold...*

I liked the singer's voice, sultry but somehow also ethereal, but couldn't place it. I started actively listening to the song.

...You gotta be wiser...

I turned the corner and heard a woman who was stocking items, singing along:

You gotta be hard; you gotta be tough; you gotta be stronger....

her living voice blending with the celestial one.

Spring is almost here.
