A quiet evening at home
Jun. 5th, 2002 12:31 amI'm using the PC in Harlee's room because my laptop is dead. Harlee watches me intensely.
Harlee hides from me next to the couch.
Random jumps over the gate and starts eating Harlee's food.
I put her food up on a table.
Harlee comes out to see Random.
They make noises at each other, and back off and come forward. It's a kind of courtship that they have.
My relationship with Harlee is a kind of a courtship too, full of surprises and false hopes and pursuit and retreat and fear and delight.
Random jumps back over the gate and takes off.
He comes back later and goes after her food again.
I'm sitting here, even though I have other things to do, because it all seems important somehow.
