Well...I have the car

It was a bit of a saga. The original plan was that the car salesman would drive the car down, I'd get insurance for the car online at Esurance, and I'd give a friend a ride in the car. I thought about asking the friend if he wanted to see a movie as long as we were driving around.
Here's what happened.
The car salesman did drive the car down and gave me a walkthrough of it. During the walkthrough, he discovered that the remote for the locks and for the alarm were missing. (Also the floor mats were missing.) He said that he'd arrange a time to bring them down to me on Monday. He and the person who came down with him drove off.
I drove the car into the garage. I used the power lock to lock all the doors, and saw a flashing light that I thought indicated the the alarm was on. I didn't know how to shut it off. I tried messing around with the locks. but couldn't get it off. I finally opened the door, and the alarm went off.
I remembered that the car salesman called me a couple of times from his cell phone, so I should have his number on caller ID. I called him, and he told me that there was a little button that I could press and hold down to shut off the alarm.
So I went back to the car, set off the alarm, and fumbled around for the little button. I finally found a button (although I don't know if it was the right one) and held it down.
Nothing happened. I tried a few more times with the same result. Opened the car again, set off the alarm, and went up to call the car salesman.
This time he checked with some people, and told me to press the button just once. I went down, set off the alarm, pressed the button once, and nothing happened. Exited the car and set off the alarm. (I was wondering if my neighbors were going to kick me out of the condo complex -;)) I called him again, and he agreed to come back down after he did a few things.
I cooled my heels for a while, and he showed up. He apologized profusely, shut off the alarm, and told me not to touch the button. (No worries!)
So I went upstairs and logged on to the Esurance site. I've been having problems printing from IE, so I used Netscape. I was filling out the form when it didn't recognize that I had filled out a field, and it wouldn't let me move forward.
So I called them. They signed me up over the phone, but I was on hold so long that the process took close to an hour. They told me that I could use only IE to print the proof of insurance.
So I hooked the laptop up to the printer, and did a test print. I logged onto the site, but received a message that it couldn't find the server with the insurance documents.
So I gave up, logged off, and left a tripped-out message for my friend that all hell had been breaking loose around here. Threw myself together, and ran some errands.
When I came back, I was able to get to the proof of insurance doc. Went to print it, and found that the printer driver was missing.
Reinstalled the printer driver. Finally was able to print the proof of insurance, and it was a beautiful thing.
This morning, I finally got Harlee in the carrier. (I feel bad typing while she's carrying on. She's been in a carrier only a few times, and she gets hysterical.) I'm off to have her microchipped.
