I had an appointment to bring the cats for a checkup before boarding them. The only cat that I was able to get into a carrier was Random. I tried to grab Harlee, but she got away from me and hid. Earlier, I tried to bribe her into the carrier with food, but she wasn't buying it.
The problem is that the cats are already jumpy because I've been moving stuff around, and strangers have been coming in to take stuff or do an appraisal. Perhaps I should have tried to board them earlier. I'm also worried because a lot of kennels are full up for Easter. I MUST get them out before the movers come.
Right now, I'm going to concentrate on plugging up access to the cats' hiding places in the living room. I'm also going to look for Feliway and catnip to put on the carrier. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them. Tomorrow I'll also call more kennels.
Talk America shut off my phone a week too early, thus depriving me of Internet access. (I'm borrowing my mom's computer in her hotel. I don't know what I'm going to do when she leaves--go into work? That's 20-30 minutes one way.) I really need my Internet access right now because I'm giving stuff away on Craig's List and Freecycle. However, Talk America said that they couldn't bring the line back up and were spectacularly unhelpful. I think that this might be the end of my association with them.
