The Visitor

For a couple of weeks, an outdoor cat has been meowing loudly by my side of the building. Sometimes it's sounded like the meows were coming from my patio, but when I opened the door, I didn't see a cat. (However, it smells like a cat peed on my patio. Ew.) I'm surprised that Harlee and Nima didn't seem interested in the meows.

Tonight, when I started to climb upstairs (I'm on the second floor), a silver cat ran out and jumped off of my second-story patio to the ground. I ran down and looked, but didn't see the cat anywhere. Apparently the cat landed okay. I hope so.

Question for California voters

I re-registered as "decline to state" a party. I've heard that non-partisan voters can vote in the Democratic primary. However, I received only a list of propositions in the mail. When I go to vote, should I ask for a Democratic ballot? I'm not sure how this works.
