Router trouble

Well, crud. My router appears to be biting the dust. My laptop (upstairs on wireless) shows a connection to the router, but the router doesn't show a connection to the laptop. The weird thing is that the home pages when I open up a browser seem to be updated, not cached. If I open a new tab, however, the browser says that there is no connection. Any ideas why that might be?
