A Cozy Evening
Oct. 12th, 2014 12:18 amI love the fall; it's my favorite time of year. When I go outside, I can smell my neighbors using their fireplaces. It's a smell that I associate with holiday time in California. Our fall here is equivalent to a California winter. And of course, our winters are...yikes.
I had a luscious nap after I ate dinner tonight. Slept longer than I intended, and woke up when my mom called from England. (Her trip has been fine; she's on track to leave next Tuesday; Arthur is still resisting going into a nursing home. I know that the people at the hospital want only what's best for him, but I feel sorry for him.)
Otherwise, I've been puttering around. I'm currently dyeing my hair. I'm meeting people in a Meetup group for brunch tomorrow, so I want to get to sleep (or at least to bed and reading) fairly soon. I'm feeling very contented.
