Decision Time
Mar. 6th, 2016 01:29 amI've decided to drop Monat. I've been having a heck of a time selling it because it's so expensive. (Yes, my upline has stats that say that as far as high-end salon products go, Monat is around the middle of the pack.) I've been sending out samples at my expense without getting sales from them. The kicker, though, is that I found some salon shampoo and conditioner that has been sitting in a box since I left California (yes, I know, I really have to get through my boxes) and have been using it because it's too good to throw out--and my hair has never looked better. In fact, it's been looking so good that it's been boggling my mind. And the shampoo and conditioner that I've been using is cheaper than Monat (although still not cheap). And it's impossible to sell a product with which you aren't completely thrilled. (I'm not saying that Monat is a bad product though. It isn't.) I want to concentrate on Younique sales instead.
If I could find a good direct sales company that sells pet products, I'd join it in a heartbeat, however. It seems like everyone in Lincoln has at least one dog or cat. Someone on Facebook asked people in the area what businesses they would like to see in Lincoln, and a decent-sized pet store (we have a very small one that doesn't carry much) was one of the top ones on the list. The best pet DS company that I've found is called Yuppy Puppy City Kitty, and oh, the name is a problem. People around here are forgiving me for the lamentable fact that I was born in Chicago, but it doesn't mean that they want "city stuff". Anyway, I can learn from building up my Younique business, and then apply what I learn to other companies if it comes down to that.
