Vacation Day 1

I should volunteer at the Humane Society in the morning more often. I really work up a sweat cleaning there.

I got the maintenance on my car taken care of. The Check Engine light was because of a faulty thermostat. The car dealer is ordering it, and I made an appointment to have it replaced in two weeks, when we get a four-day weekend on Easter weekend. I'm lucky that it wasn't more serious; the warranty has run out.

And then I took a delicious three-hour nap. I could get used to this :)

Now I'm making coffee to try and wake myself up. I'm trying to decide whether I can afford to get a Music History textbook (recommended, but not required, for my classical music class). I better hold off until later in the month, especially if I get a new gate for the kitchen.

The plan of record is to do some work online while I wake up, and then go tackle the kitchen again.

Justin Guitar

I've started the Justin Guitar lessons. I think that they will be quite good. Right now, he's just talking about the different types of guitars, accessories, etc. I found it interesting that he recommends buying an electric guitar for beginners. He said that they are easier to play and cheap ones sound better than cheap acoustic guitars. I like this guitar that he recommended, but I can't afford it this month, cheap or no. (Plus, I'd need a case for it because I'm klutzy and trip over things.) Anyway, I fished out my acoustic guitar (it was wedged between the futon and a basket), and I'm ready to...well not rock...folk?
