Inching My Way Towards Vacation

I mailed my aunt and uncle's presents, and they should get there before Christmas.

I twisted my knee slipping on the ice near where I park my car. The melt can't happen soon enough for me.

I made an appointment to board Zara at the vet.

The weather looks good so far on Friday, when I'll be driving up to Detroit. Cool beans.

Vacation!

Vacation vacation vacation, I'm off for two weeks. Woo-hoo! Although it figures that we discovered a major problem with the copier today, which we can't get fixed until January. Oh well.

I'm thinking that I should bake my mom's cookies over there instead of here. More importantly, I want to get the cheese up there instead of hauling a container of ice with me. I'll see what Mom thinks. Both Aldi and Trader Joe's will be open on Christmas Eve, so I should be able to get something nice.

I bought some ingredients to bring my lunch/dinner on the road. The original sandwich that I was interested in had a chicken breast that was first seared on a grill and then baked with honey....Too much trouble. I bought chicken lunch meat, colby jack cheese, honey-dijon mustard, and King's Hawaiian mini-sub rolls. And Sun chips. Boy Sun chips are expensive. I bought one bag for me, and two bags for my mom because she loves them, and has a hard time finding them.

I'm meeting with the pet sitter tomorrow, and will touch base with my mom as well. Things are heading in the right direction.

MEOW!!!!

Harlee is meowing, and I told her to shush. In response, she emitted a very loud MEOW!!!! I get no respect :)
