Eastern Philosophy
Oct. 23rd, 2017 11:57 pmMy boss wants to stop making deliveries of books to the Normal campus. But in order to take the system down, I need to make sure that no requests are in the system because I need the system in order to check the books out. Another book for Normal arrived on Friday. So I discussed the matter with my boss, and we agreed to take the system down in December. So I needed to bring the book up to Normal tonight.
It was raining, and I drove more slowly than normal and let people pass me. I was listening to the Being Taoist book on the trip up, but I was getting sick of it. I listened to the Best Introduction to Eastern Philosophy on the way back, and that was inspired. It was talking about Hinduism, and I found it fascinating. I just ordered a library book that's a "very short introduction" about Hinduism. I like its belief that's there's more than one path to enlightenment.
On the more prosaic level, I remembered to put the garbage at the curb for pickup tomorrow. Go me.
