Study, Study, Study
Oct. 19th, 2018 09:56 pmThe Spanish lessons are serving two purposes. One, a book about language learning that I read said that you need to speak a language a lot to actually learn it. I'm finding that I remember the words that we covered last week even though I haven't studied them since then because I spoke them. And two, knowing that I'll make a fool of myself at the lesson if I don't study provides incentive. No hiding at the back of the class in a one-on-one lesson!
Zara was in a snuggly mood this morning and settled on my lap for a long time, which is unusual.
Studied Spanish flashcards.
I'm reading about avocado toast (though this is the wrong time of year to get into it). I think that I'll pick up a couple of avocados when I'm out today, and I think that I have some frozen creamed spinach. I want to try the "flexitarian" breakfast tomorrow.
Napped with Mimi.
Didn't get my walk in because it got too late. (I did read an article the other day that said that getting exercise is the top thing that you can do for your health, so I need to get with it.) Went grocery shopping. Among other things, I picked up avocados and eggs.
Need to make more Spanish flashcards.
