Uh, Zara, That's MY Breakfast!
Oct. 20th, 2018 10:56 pmI think that I was doing too much Spanish homework. I re-read the teacher's instructions, and it said regular verbs -ar, although the chapters that he listed had additional types of verbs as well. No wonder I felt overwhelmed. Bueno.
Beautiful day. Windy though. Someone's garage sale sign blew into our yard. I stuffed it into the recycle bin.
One problem with the "flexitarian" breakfast is waiting long enough to wake up to cook. Not with it. I got the eggs ready to cook and the avocado ready to spread, when I realized that I hadn't put the frozen creamed spinach in the microwave. The avocado had a lot of mushy spots in it. I need to learn how to pick avocados.
The breakfast was good. The avocado toast was only okay though. I think that I'd do better with some almond butter or peanut butter toast. I loved the creamed spinach, but couldn't find any at the store. I might have to make my own. Zara was stalking my food and licked my plate. She wanted the eggs, which doesn't surprise me, but she also ate a little spinach. Go figure.
Napped with Mimi. She wanted to lie on my arm and peer into my face while I was trying to fall asleep. She also was patting my face sometimes. I finally flipped over, which thwarted her, and she curled up to nap.
Walked. Then I had the humbling experience known as my Spanish lesson. I study, but when I'm in the lesson, I get tongue-tied.
Mom is doing well. For someone who doesn't have much of an appetite, she talks about food a lot :)
