Car damage

I'm back to thinking that the scratches on the car were deliberate. The vertical scratches aren't perfectly aligned after all. They're in a weird spot too; under the handle on the door.
And I think that they might have happened at work. A few years ago, there was some problems with people coming onto the property and damaging cars. (I suspect that it was the kids who drag race in front of the building.) There were drag racers out front Friday night, when I think that the damage might have happened. It would be easy for someone to walk onto the property. And it would be easier for someone to do this in a quiet parking lot rather than in the very busy parking lot of a strip mall (where I discovered it).
I don't want this to happen again, so I'm currently hiding the car out back when I'm at the lab after hours.
