days_unfoldingI meant to mention that when I was shopping in Macy's last week, I was helped by a sales associate in a wheelchair (which shouldn't be remarkable, but is.) I wrote the company to congratulate them on their commitment to diversity and hope to give them more of my business.
I've been looking for new opera clothes, and hope to find some at Macy's. (As if anyone really needs new opera clothes. The whole point of opera clothes is that they're pointless. It's very Zen.) I rather like this jacket, but it's kind of pricey. I think that it would look good with dress pants and boots if could find boots that fit. (Yes, I know, this is very profound.)
Addendum: Oh, and the Cafe du Monde is reopening in New Orleans. My favorite memories of New Orleans are of sitting in the Cafe du Monde, drinking coffee and eating beignets, and watching the world go by.
