Grits

Another day, more moldy books. We might have discovered the source though. One of the part-time workers washes the shelves with soap and water during the summer. We found a shelf with mold that had what looked like dried soap on it. If the shelves haven't quite dried before the worker put the books back, that would explain it. It also would explain why most of the mold that we've found is on the bottom of the books. Doesn't solve our problems now though. We're also having a mysterious problem with access to our databases. Not a good week for the library.

I sold the purse. The person who was interested in the pet carrier is no longer interested.

I went to the store to get cereal, but looked at the Cream of Wheat (about the same cost as cereal) and grits (cheaper!) I picked up some instant flavored grits to try. I liked them in New Orleans. I could get unflavored grits for dirt cheap and put some cheddar cheese or butter in them.
