I just got a feel for how large the Western part of the U.S. really is. Over the last couple of days, I've been playing a lot with the Flight tracker that
in2oblivion mentioned in her journal. Right now, I have a flight from San Francisco to Philadelphia up. The plane is just leaving Iowa and about to go over Illinois, and there's an hour and fifteen minutes left of a 5-hour flight.
Whoops, the display just suddenly jumped to Ohio. I guess it was lagging behind. I buy that a lot better though.
Anyway, the Flight Tracker is fun. I was tracking flights from San Jose to Portland earlier and looking at Portland cams. A little armchair travel-;)
Addendum: I should mention that the Flight Tracker covers only the continental U.S. Bummer-;)
