Got the garbage out. Go me. Now I need to go back to sleep. I think that I heard them pick it up a little before 5 AM.

Got up at 7 AM. It’s 53F/12C out, but it’s reasonable inside. I’m hoping for some days with low A/C and heat. Oh crap. I forgot to drop off the car to be fixed. I actually needed a light jacket upstairs.

Hmm. My deposit into my investment account didn't go through. I'll have to find out what's going on. It's on my pay stub. Curiouser and curiouser. Maybe there's a delay until it shows up on Fidelity's Web site? Fidelity said that the uni might not have sent it right away, and to check back later.

FedEx attempted to deliver my DSLR, but wanted a signature and I was in a meeting. I asked them to hold it at a FedEx store and I'll go pick it up. I need to get my doorbell set up.

Gracie was standing on me! She's not a miniature poodle, oof! (She’s 25 pounds?? More??)

Lay down for a nap but decided that I couldn’t sleep. Good thing because I have a meeting at 1 that I forgot about.

Ugh. I'm in a mid-afternoon slump. Can't stop yawning.

Crud. They're limiting the COVID vaccine to those over 65, except if you have some risk factors. I do have three of the risk factors, so I should be able to get it, but that doesn't help others who want to get it. I had a pang because I wanted to discuss it with my mom, who had COVID as a contributing factor in her death. (My dad doesn't believe in the COVID vaccine. Sigh.)

I ordered some “non-makeup makeup” in case I want to go outside or run a quick errand and want a little color on my face.

Fed the beasties and took the dogs out. My stomach is upset, so I’m making my food. I’m going to need to order more food.

I got my Dog Photography and Pet Photography books, plus Digital Photography: A Complete Course. I got some really cute tops from ThredUp. And jeans and shorts. But I needed more black shorts, and couldn’t find Gloria Vanderbilt ones, so I ordered some Lees. I hope that they fit well. Oh, and I got my Ninja air fryer (used).

Oliver is getting better at smacking the dogs when they annoy him.

Got all my packages inside and opened except for the dresser. I’m resting for a minute, and then I’ll start getting the recycling out (done). I was wondering if there was a more environmentally friendly alternative to a zillion cans, and found this cat food and this dog food. I'll try it after I got back from my trip.

Whew. It's good to relax. I need to feed the cats and Gracie (Bella is on a diet, so she doesn't get fed at night to her disappointment) and go to bed. Oh, I want to do an iPhone photography video first.

Woke up at 6:30. Took Bella out, showered, and fed us all. Bella was whining while I was in the shower, but then she fell asleep while I was getting dressed.

I've decided that I should read my trust books before telling the trust that I want to manage the money myself. So I need to make time for reading this long weekend. (It's the Memorial Day holiday on Monday in the US.)

I was wondering if I should replace my personal laptop (it's several years old), but I shouldn't spend money just because I can. I did find one that I like though. Hmm.

Oliver and Lily are looking out the upstairs window, twitching their tails in unison :)

I went with Bella to take a nap, but Oliver was lying on the bed. I removed him because he and Bella will squabble. Bad Mommy! Bella was barking at the door for no apparent reason. I finally let her out. Then she was quiet.

I got contacted about a fraudulent transaction on my Capital One debit card. Sigh. I don't know how someone got the card number.

I'm mulling over my ethics in investing. There is an ETF that invests in data centers, more of which will be built for AI. But that's a negative environmental impact. Should I make money from damaging the environment?

They let us leave work early due to the holiday. I had just finished the task that I was working on, so that worked out well. I took Bella out, and apparently I missed throwing out one of the plastic pots that the plants came in, and Bella was having a great time playing with it. I didn’t have the heart to throw it out.

[personal profile] zhelana mentioned that she bought her dog a small pool for hot summer days, and that sounded like a good idea, so I got Bella one. I hope that she likes it.

I got my new Brooklinen towels, and oh, are they soft and luxurious. I’m tempted to get another set while the Memorial Day sale is still on (done).

Celebrated the holiday weekend with a nap. Overslept and slept until 8 PM. Ow, my knee hurts.

Fed us all. The can of Bella’s food that I opened had liquefied food, and Bella wouldn’t eat it, so I gave her a new can of it.

I’m thinking of going back to sleep. I want to get outside tomorrow before my pedicure appointment. I need to submit a Walmart order and Lowe’s order first though (done).

Note to self: Pedicure Saturday at 5 PM. Bring trust book.

Zara snuggled in the crook of my legs when I went to sleep last night. She spent the night there. Very sweet.

I keep getting a Facebook ad for an afghan crochet kit in which you get yarn and new stitches every month if you buy a subscription. Someone pointed out that you'd be paying almost $300 to make the afghan. So, no. Pretty afghan though.

I went to call the Jo-Ann Fabrics store about borrowing a sewing machine for the Friday "Learn to Sew" class, only to find that it was canceled. Bah. Udemy has some sewing classes. I might try them because they're cheaper than the store, and I can take them anytime.

Oh crap. The weather forecasters are predicting snow on Thursday. I need to get my snow shovel out of storage. We're getting the dreaded "wintry mix" tonight. Have I mentioned that I hate winter? It's the biggest thing driving me to the South for retirement.

No note from the mobile home park management about the inspection. Need to clean my bathroom tonight anyway.

Because I'm not taking the sewing class in Springfield, I've decided to run errands on Friday close to home, and go down to Springfield the following week to get to the bank.

I decided not to go get cat food because it's raining cold rain, and I'm a wuss. I have to go tomorrow weather or not.

I was reading an article about "how to be disabled and green," and the article mentioned biodegradable poop bags. I use plastic bags for cat waste, but that does kind of bother me. The bags are $0.50 each though. Need to think about it.

I'm tired and cold (hmm, I should make tea), so I'm going to sleep. I need to get up early and clean the bathroom!!! I also need to go get the snow shovel, although now the forecasters are saying an inch or less of snow on Thursday.
